Description: |
"Fire and Ice" is an imagined landscape. I got this idea from a story about a small town in Greenland that battled a lava flow that threatened to seal off their only harbor. They fought for weeks, dowsing it with cold sea water to stop the flows advance. In the end, they lost half their town, but won the battle to save their harbor. Creating these paintings is not a simple process, but it is enjoyable and I love how it keeps evolving. I love the way these pieces look. They always get noticed and commented on in my studio. |
