What is a Contemporary Original Art Painting?

Bold Color

This is the category for paint on plain canvas. Some days I get in a hurry to paint, and don't have the patience to wait for multiple layers of texture and gesso to dry. I have a picture in my head, and I want to get it on canvas before it's lost. So I just grab a canvas and start painting. These are usually completed in one or two days. And I always go for the bold bright paint colors. I think it's how my brain takes a mini-break. Not a lot of planning and fore thought, just painting for the joy of playing with color.
